Sharing our renovation projects, faith, life, ups, downs and anything else we feel like talking about.
What? Did you expect to find something interesting?
Hobbies/Activities:
I volunteer at my church, interpreting for the deaf ministry. I am a self proclaimed preservationist (or that is how the local newspaper described me recently — I prefer that over potstirring
). I like all things old, scrapbooking, church and am a mother to a beautiful 4 year old girl and a wife to a handsome 30 something year old man.
I am really no one special and have been pretty much a straight laced, goody two shoes all my life. I have always rooted for the underdog and tend to think outside the box.
Why I blog:
I have family and several friends who are scattered all over the U.S., as well as other countries. This blog is mostly for them. It is easier to keep up with each other through the worldwide web. I can give them a peek into my life and they feel like they are still a part of it…..even though they are so far away. Sigh… So, that being said, I really don’t care if you like my blog or not. If you don’t know me, then why in the world do you care if my blog is good or not? I have a simple solution for ya, hit the red X in the top right corner. Buh-bye! Don’t be a hater. Move on and keep your ugly comments to yourself. If a comment contains vulgarity, profanity or indecency, I will immediately delete it so, don’t waste your time. I do however approve good, thoughtful, nice and kind comments.
I do not consider this blog a journalistic blog with cutting edge news. Definition of a Weblog, or a Blog:
A blog (a contraction of the term weblog) is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. “Blog” can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
“Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs.”
In case you are wondering, my blog is the personal online diary type.
“Does thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that’s the stuff life is made of.” ~~ Benjamin Franklin

“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.” (albert einstein).

By the way, when I was about leaving your site I saw the picture: nice girl and nice mom.
