I know that this is a miscellaneous post, but half of mine are anyway so who cares about another one, right? Ever since I read that Martha Stewart uses a hydrating facial mist in between tapings of her show, I have been intrigued. Since it gets so darn hot here in Louisiana, a hydrating/cooling facial mist sounds very pleasant. I half-heartedly searched for some at CVS and later on at Target but didn’t find any. Upon Googling this subject, I found 3-4 recipes for making your own aromatherapy hydrating facial mist. Here is the one I am going to make. To all of my southern friends, enjoy!
- 1/4 mineral water or filtered water
- 2 tablespoons orange flower water
- 2 tablespoons rose water
- 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel
- Shake well in a spray bottle and store in the refrigerator.

Some options to the above recipe are adding lavendar, a mint sprig or green tea.
