Along with other preservationists, I had the privilege of touring this barn today. It is a pretty lady. Here are the pictures from the tour. If I did not have midterms and a host of other pressing things to do, I would give a narrative of the tour. Maybe another time. Here are the beautiful pictures.
Absolutely beautiful! I would love to frame some of these pics!!
I am going to frame some. Wouldn’t it be cool to take family pictures there? Let me know which ones you want.
If the main building inside roof conture does not move you, You are brain dead…
It in it’s self is a work of art!

It was built from a kit. Isn’t that neat to know? Good things are coming down the pipe!!!!!!!!!
I am so excited to see the interest in preserving this building. I traveled every day from Alexandria to VA hospital and each time enjoyed the majesty of this building. It’s neglect over the years filled me with sadness. I appreciate that someone is making the effort to maintain it’s dignity. If there is anything that I can do to help please let me know.
The inside of the barn reminds me of some chapels that I visited in Europe.
I’m glad you have fond memories of the barn. I am not the one at the helm of the preservation project. The admin over that project just linked my blog for more pictures. For ways to help, you will have to leave a message on the save the barn Facebook page.
Unique Cenla landmark—hope it can be preserved.
