Saying goodbye to our Old House

I never thought this day would come. We had to say goodbye to the “Big House”, the old house, the Hynson-Ringgold house (and many other names)….

We were transferred due to work and put our grand lady up for sale. This is the last day we spent on the porch. We took our final pictures in preparation of handing her over to the next owner.

This house is currently on the market. If anyone is interested, please call Norma Soileau at Noles Frye Realty.

It was sad to say goodbye to a project that was a big part of our life for ten years.

We are doing fine in our new town and, shortly, we will post photos of what we are working on over here.

Thanks for following our house renovations. Now it’s time for a new chapter….and a new house renovation! More to come regarding our projects on the Stucco Box. Stay tuned!

Andrea

  1. I hope that you find a buyer that appreciates all of the love and hard effort that you put into the “Big House”. I have enjoyed following you.

  2. Hi! My name is Leigh Guidry, and I’m a reporter for The Town Talk in Alexandria. I’m writing a story about the history of Mansion Row on Florence Avenue, which includes this home. I’d love to talk to you about all the work y’all did on the house. You can reach me at lguidry@thetowntalk.com. Thanks!
